Prof. Dr. Ingrid Gerhard

Prof. Dr. med. Ingrid Gerhard is a university professor of gynecology, additionally specializing in naturopathy and environmental medicine. In 1993, she founded the naturopathy outpatient clinic at the University Women's Hospital Heidelberg, which she headed until 2002. Since then, she has worked as a freelance lecturer and author.

Her extensive experience was incorporated into two textbooks for doctors and therapists, in which, for the first time, conventional medical and naturopathic methods in obstetrics and gynecology are treated equally side-by-side. Furthermore, she wrote the "Women's Health Book," which is also understandable for laypeople, as well as "The New Herbal Medicine for Women"; since 2009, she has run the web magazine www.netzwerk-frauengesundheit.com.

For her contributions to holistic medicine, Prof. Dr. med. Ingrid Gerhard has received numerous awards, including the Federal Cross of Merit, First Class, in 1995.
