What could a world look like that offers a future worth living for our grandchildren? And what can each individual do to achieve this? More than you think!
You don't have to have children or even grandchildren to live a "grandchild-friendly" life. And we can not only improve the future, but also make our own lives more worth living. This is not just about an ecologically sustainable life, but also about human dignity, solidarity, justice and democracy. But how do I become the change I want to see? And how can a new way of living find a place in my everyday life?
Anja Haider-Wallner and her daughter Mona approach the topic of "living sustainably" from different perspectives, but pursue a common goal: not to watch, but to actively make the world a little better! To this end, the duo provides important information and countless suggestions to make everyday life easy and playful "suitable for grandchildren" - with enjoyment and quality of life, now and in the future. Because the small steps and daily decisions are crucial: What do I buy, what do I eat, how do I get around, how do I meet my fellow human beings, and how do I spend my life and my free time? What is my contribution to a more livable planet?
We can improve our world – sustainably and with a lot of heart!

The book is the official guide to the initiative “Living Suitable for Grandchildren – The Game That Changes Your World”, which was launched in 2018 by the Katholisches Kreisbildungswerk Traunstein e. V. Thanks to the game instructions (in the book) and the enclosed game board, you can now play “Living Suitable for Grandchildren” at home – with family or friends! The game makes it particularly easy to get started with saving the world and helps you overcome your inner laziness. The three to six players take on very individual actions for the monthly meetings and collect points. This is guaranteed to get you from reading to doing and change your everyday life for the long term! The removable game board guides all “world savers” through the game, and in the end the climate wins too. Let yourself be surprised! And if you want to do even more, you can meet like-minded people in the “Living Suitable for Grandchildren” courses throughout the German-speaking world.

Making the world a little better
Saving the world can be fun. Saving the world means making even the smallest changes. Saving the world starts today. With you?
We don't have to move mountains to make our world a little better and more beautiful - even small steps bring us closer to the big goal of leaving our children and grandchildren a future worth living in and a healthier environment. Let's just give conscious answers to the small everyday questions: what we eat, what we buy, how we get around, how we spend our free time, how we meet our fellow human beings and, and, and... We can find lots of tips, facts and suggestions in this book.
Because changes always happen more easily together, the "Living Suitable for Grandchildren" initiative was created. It was initiated by the Katholisches Kreisbildungswerk Traunstein e. V. and has been running very successfully in German-speaking countries since 2018. In this project, you will meet like-minded people who don't just talk about it, but also want to do something about it. Topics such as ecological sustainability, human dignity, solidarity and justice are not only discussed, but also implemented in actions.
The game plan included in the book helps you to play "Living Suitable for Grandchildren" yourself - with family or friends - and to make your activities visible!
