Permanently healthy instead of chronically ill: “The Alkaline Principle” shows ways out of overacidification as the cause of typical lifestyle diseases

The over-acidification of the organism - triggered by poor nutrition and stress - is considered the main cause of so-called diseases of affluence. Barbara Simonsohn's guide " The Alkaline Principle " explains in an easy-to-understand way how the comprehensive findings of acidosis expert Dr. Ludwig Manfred Jacob contribute to a better quality of life and health into old age.

Internal and external rejuvenation through deacidification

At the age of 23, Barbara Simonsohn had already put her health in a state of disarray due to a poor diet. Her encounter with the well-known alkaline doctor Dr. Renate Collier and a subsequent acidosis treatment, from which she returned not only healthy but also rejuvenated and more beautiful, brought about a change. The author and Reiki teacher was so fascinated by this transformation that she organized seminars for this brilliant doctor, accompanied her and was trained by her in the first training of this kind to become an acidosis seminar leader.

Since then, she has never lost sight of the topic of "hyperacidity". Through her own books "Acidosis Therapy" and "Fasting - Made Easy" she came into contact with the Europe-wide recognized expert Dr. Ludwig Manfred Jacob. Her long experience with relaxation methods complements Dr. Jacob's scientific and practical work in the field of acid-base and mineral balance very well. The main goal of their collaboration is to show a path to sustainable health using his findings and research, which are based on more than 1,400 relevant studies.

Acidification as the main cause of many diseases

Dr. Jacob, who comes from a well-known family of doctors, also came into contact with the topic of hyperacidity at an early age. Due to his own painful experiences, the acid-base balance became a particular focus of his father's internal medicine practice. Dr. Ludwig Manfred Jacob could not accept that "hyperacidity" was completely ignored by conventional medicine - in contrast to naturopathy - at the time.

For today's doctors, acidosis is still an acute intensive care situation that is life-threatening but only occurs very rarely. Latent acidosis, which is relatively symptom-free for decades, escapes their notice and is not even discussed in training. However, numerous studies have now confirmed its role in the development of typical diseases of affluence, such as high blood pressure, diabetes or cancer.

Normal metabolic processes constantly produce acids, which can be broken down easily in a reasonably healthy organism. The fatal thing is that our current diet confronts the body with a large amount of these aggressive acids without containing enough alkaline minerals to bind the acids and render them harmless. In addition to an acid-forming malnutrition, lack of exercise, stress hormones, poor sleeping habits and incorrect breathing also promote an acidic metabolism.

Dr. Jacob's path to sustainable health

The focus of Dr. Jacob's approach is a diet that supports the body in its tasks, prevents lifestyle diseases and thus provides long-term health. This involves normalizing metabolism, acid-base balance, regulating body weight and normalizing blood pressure, blood sugar and insulin levels as well as bone density.

Dr. Jacob's approach shows alternatives that are low in calories, rich in vital substances, low in sodium and high in potassium. Foods are then analyzed and evaluated in terms of their effect on the acid-base balance and insulin balance. Dr. Jacob calls the pillars of his healthy lifestyle "eating healthily with pleasure," "relaxing with deep breathing" and "moving with joy." The nutritional advice is accompanied by tips for sufficient exercise and exercises for deep abdominal breathing. Barbara Simonsohn also emphasizes the need for deep and healing sleep and the importance of relaxation, meditation and leisure.

Since health represents true prosperity in their eyes, it is the great wish of the two acidosis experts "that this book gives you the knowledge and practical tools with which you can grow old healthily and vitally. Because ultimately we don't just want to give our lives more years, but above all more life to our years."

Through inspired writing, we can connect with our higher self and draw on the wisdom of the universe. In this way, we gain a keen ear for the nuances of life and secure orientation in moments of perplexity.

The most important rule: everything is allowed! Courage and openness give you wings: ask questions and write whenever, however and whatever you want. And don't get annoyed about a blank page - the universe doesn't always have big revelations ready.

Meditation, contemplation or other mindfulness rituals can be just as helpful in stimulating your inspiration as choosing the right environment and consciously shaping the atmosphere. But here too, everything is possible, nothing is necessary.

In her seminars, France Gauthier has already introduced thousands of participants to inspired writing. And she warns with a wink about the consequences of this hobby: "Be careful! You can become addicted, out of sheer joy and endless wonder!"
