The 12.5 cm long, spring-loaded steel push button makes it easier to find and treat acupuncture points. In particular, it serves as a practical aid for gentle ear acupuncture with so-called ear seeds : by gently palpating the auricle, the correct points of action can be located more easily.

The use of these "ear seeds" comes from traditional Chinese medicine and has proven to be effective for headaches, back pain, sleep disorders, hormonal imbalances, fears and allergies. The gold-plated ear seeds are stuck onto known ear acupuncture points where they can exert their gently stimulating (pressure-stimulating) effect.
