Dr. Stephan Götze
After studying sociology, psychology and marketing in Mannheim, Stephan Götze (born 1962) earned his doctorate in the field of social sciences (on ecologically oriented purchasing behavior). As a student, he founded the first marketing agency for ecological products and projects and later continued this in various constellations. Dr. Götze now works as a consultant and researcher, has held various teaching positions and published 14 national and international specialist publications.
Since 1988, Stephan Götze has maintained close ties with the Lakota Indians; he was initiated into various rituals by the medicine man Archie Fire Lame Deer, especially into the Lakota's basic knowledge of the cosmos and its wonders. In 2001, Dr. Götze was commissioned by Arvol Looking Horse, winner of the United Nations Peace Prize, to explain the valuable knowledge of the Indians; he fulfilled this task with his book, among other things.
