Colors for life
Colors for life
With colour meditations, yoga exercises and mudras, Barbara Arzmüller makes the chakras shine
In her new book "Shining Chakras," the seven fundamental energy centers are related to the colors of the rainbow and their spiritual properties. With the help of selected exercises and meditations, chakras can be specifically cleansed in order to build a healthy aura.
Red like love and green like hope…
Colors are part of life: They influence moods, arouse feelings and affect the subconscious. This is not only evident in our external environment or the way we dress, but also on a symbolic level, where certain properties and qualities are attributed to different colors. It is therefore obvious to assign the seven colors of the rainbow to the spiritual energy centers - the chakras - in order to recognize and resolve blockages, weaknesses and congestion in the flow of energy.
With "Shining Chakras," interior designer and author Barbara Arzmüller expands on her 2011 book on the connection between colors and chakras with yoga exercises and mudras. This creates a veritable "wellness program for aura, body, and soul": "If we regularly cleanse and strengthen the chakras, we stabilize our physical health and balance our mental well-being," promises Arzmüller.
The world of colours
Colors cannot solve problems directly. But they can change the mood if they are used consciously. They help to stabilize our self and support us in setting boundaries or opening up. However, if used incorrectly, colors can cause damage. The body, aura and thus our soul react very strongly to colors because, just like the planets, they symbolize valuable characteristics and qualities.
In relation to the color spectrum of the rainbow, red stands for courage, strength and vitality, it affects sexuality, brings momentum to life and promotes self-confidence. Orange stands for openness, confidence, creativity, sociability and a sense of community. The cheerful color yellow creates well-being, lifts the mood and promotes positive feelings. Green ensures harmony and balance. Turquoise promotes clear and understandable expression. Blue encourages the search for truth and ideals. Violet is associated with "mystery" and "secret" and forms the transition from the physical to the supernatural world.
The world of chakras
The term "chakra" comes from Sanskrit and means something like "circle" or "wheel". Energy can flow into and out of a person through the chakras. From these entry points, the energy is distributed throughout our entire system via many different channels, the so-called meridians. When the chakras are functioning, we generally feel well and balanced. In such a state, it is easy to fulfill our tasks, enjoy life and develop our own personality.
As the chakras are cleansed and made to shine, the aura becomes brighter, the body healthier and the psyche more stable. According to Barbara Arzmüller, consciously cleansing and energizing the chakras again and again is the best way to prevent health problems: "The more you integrate qualities such as joy, pleasure and enthusiasm, the clearer and brighter the colors of your chakras will soon appear to you - and soon your life will also shine brighter and more colorful."
