The wonderful world of healing stones
The wonderful world of healing stones
Herbert Bloos ' compact guide is a well-founded reference work on the meaning and effects of minerals
With background information about their origin and use as well as detailed descriptions of the healing stones from A to Z, the mineral dealer draws on his wealth of experience. He has been studying the fascinating effects of crystals and minerals for over 30 years.
Practical knowledge about application and effect
Even as a child, Herbert Bloos was interested in the origins and significance of minerals, so much so that he spent every free minute dealing with stones. Severely limited by a serious illness, he found his professional passion in his parents' mineral shop, which he opened in 1985: "I feel it is my calling to help other people with healing stones and some good advice."
Working with people and stones not only improved his physical condition, but also opened up access to the healing effects of gemstones and minerals. In his book, he shares his many years of experience with interested readers and offers a clear reference work on the origin, effects and correct use for the soul and body.
Origin of healing stones
Almost all stones that exist today are many millions of years old. They were formed when the earth's crust was still relatively unstable. Most were created under high pressure and high heat: for example in the magma of the earth's interior, in the lava of volcanoes, precipitated as aqueous solutions (vapors), by the transformation of already existing minerals, by oxidation or with the help of organic substances.
In these different ways of forming, most minerals form what are known as crystals - symmetrical shapes such as cubes, octahedrons or prisms. Even the most inconspicuous mineral contains microscopically small crystals, and these in turn have a crystal lattice that consists of countless molecules and atoms. When a crystal is formed, the atoms and molecules are not arranged randomly, but in a regular crystal structure, thus obtaining a symmetrical shape. Every mineral belongs to one of seven crystal systems: the cubic, hexagonal, trigonal, tetragonal, rhombic, monoclinic or triclinic crystal system. Within these systems there are in turn various crystal shapes such as the cube, the octahedron and the tetrahedron.
Effect of healing stones
The complicated, almost perfect structure of the crystal lattice creates a type of "vibration" that can have a positive effect on the body. Even negative energies, such as those from electrosmog or water veins, can be converted into positive energies by healing stones. However, in the case of strong radiation, such as from cell phones, mobile phones and WiFi networks, the stones' effectiveness is very low. Minerals can have a soothing effect on complaints and resolve mental and physical imbalances. Each stone has a different effect and works better or worse depending on the individual.
To choose a stone, you should rely on your own instincts and feel the stones. Some stones have a negative effect on the body if you swallow them or breathe in the dust of the ground minerals. As a rule, a healing stone almost never loses its effect. Such phenomena can only occur if it is used heavily. Therefore, you should always make sure that the stone you use regularly is cleaned and, if necessary, recharged.
