Bach flowers for all ailments: “Healing with Bach flowers” by Anna Elisabeth Röcker shows the way to the right selection and application in all situations

The updated new edition of the popular compact guide “ Healing with Bach Flowers ” explains Dr. Bach’s view of the psychological causes of physical illnesses and the healing effects of the flower essences he discovered.

Our state of mind as the basis of health and illness

The physician and homeopath Dr. Edward Bach (1886-1936) focused his research on bacteriology and immunology - specifically on the interaction between psychological conditions and physical illnesses. This led him to the view, which has long been scientifically confirmed, that one of the main causes of illness lies in our negative thoughts and moods. The Bach flower therapy he developed is therefore more relevant than ever, as it uses its own special vibration to harmonize the chaotic vibration pattern that works within us and unsettles our soul and body, depending on our state of mind.

The updated new edition of the tried and tested compact guide by Anna Elisabeth Röcker presents the 38 Bach flowers with the emotional states associated with them and shows how to find the right flower for your individual situation: "The Bach flowers can help you to become more aware of yourself, to find harmony and to be better able to cope with daily challenges."

Flower groups and clinical pictures

In addition to the natural phases of change and everyday challenges, there are always events that place particular strain on our psyche. If these are not dealt with or are dealt with inadequately, long-lasting mood disorders can occur, which ultimately manifest themselves in physical illnesses.

Dr. Edward Bach divided the flowers into seven subgroups, each of which is associated with a negative mental state and a corresponding form of emotional disorder: fear, insecurity, disinterest, loneliness, hypersensitivity, discouragement, worry. This makes it easier to identify your own problems and worries and then choose the right flower for treatment: "So pay attention to your state of mind when a physical symptom occurs and then choose a flower that suits it."

Anyone who takes the corresponding flowers can immediately feel how they slowly become calmer and get back in touch with themselves. Just by clarifying which area of life the power of the flowers should be used for, a process begins in which you get to know yourself better and thus start working on the desired topic. Thinking about your own "worries" leads you further in the search for the right flower.

The right flower for every illness

Although Bach flowers do not replace necessary therapy in cases of doubt, they can make a decisive contribution to accelerating the healing process. This can compensate for deficits caused by negative emotional states that affect the cellular level and disrupt order. The importance of Bach flower therapy is underlined by the knowledge that people always feel holistically. Every feeling always affects the whole person and is also reflected on the physical level. Conversely, changes in physical well-being are also reflected in our feelings. Bach flowers thus affect the body via the emotional level.

Example descriptions of symptoms and organ systems help to find out more about the psychological background of physical complaints in order to find the right Bach flowers. In the compact guide, all flowers are listed alphabetically - with a short description of the negative state of mind that prevails when you need the flower. Bach repeatedly points out in his writings that every person has a kind of inner plan according to which we should develop - just as the plant develops according to the plan contained in its core.
