Interview with Tanja Anna Maria Parvin about the health trend Ear Seeds: “The ear seeds relieve discomfort and look great!”

"If we learn to be more sensitive to ourselves and our environment, we can recognise stress factors much earlier and counteract them in a targeted manner. The gold-plated 'ear seeds' stimulate certain energy points on the ear in a very gentle way, based on the so-called auriculotherapy according to Dr. Paul Nogier and Prof. Frank Bahr. The use of ear seeds has proven to be effective for headaches, back pain, allergies, anxiety, sleep disorders and hormonal imbalances, among other things. As a small medicine cabinet, the golden beads fit in every handbag and look great too!" In an interview, alternative practitioner Tanja Anna Maria Parvin , author of the " Ear Seeds " card set, describes the therapy with the health accessory of the same name, which can be easily stuck on using a transparent adhesive plaster and is conquering more and more ears with its healing effect.

The “ear seeds” are considered a new beauty and health trend among Hollywood celebrities. How did this come about and how did you discover this variant of ear acupressure?

Tanja AM Parvin: I think the popularity is due to the fact that some very well-known magazines in America, such as Vogue, reported on the small golden ear seeds; Gwyneth Paltrow was one of the first actresses to wear ear seeds. During a visit to America, I was very surprised that even a waitress in a café wore the ear seeds as a matter of course and knew about the exact effect of the ear points. In my practice, I like to use the seeds between ear acupuncture treatments in order to give a healing impulse between applications. In order to involve the patients themselves in the treatment, I drew ear cards with an individual combination of ear points so that the patients know where to apply the seeds themselves. This was very well received, and later on the idea for the card set was born.

This treatment method originally comes from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). What ailments can it treat, and why is the auricle so well suited for this?

Tanja AM Parvin: In Chinese medicine, some points on the ear were known, but they were classic points of body acupuncture. We have a French doctor, Dr. Paul Nogier, to thank for the development of the treatment method, called auriculotherapy. He discovered by chance that the stimulation of certain ear points has an effect on our body and organ systems. Dr. Nogier was also able to use the so-called RAC test to determine which disruptive factors may be involved in an illness and which substances and points can be helpful for recovery. We also have Prof. Frank Bahr, one of Nogier's students, to thank for many new ear acupuncture points. The use of ear seeds has proven effective for headaches, back pain, allergies, anxiety, sleep disorders and hormonal imbalances, among other things.

Originally, the so-called ear seeds were the black seeds of the Vaccaria plant. Why were they used back then, and what are the advantages of using precious metals instead?

Tanja AM Parvin: The seeds were often used on very sensitive people or children to exert a mild stimulus. Magnetic beads were also used, which are colloquially called ear seeds, but are not actually ear seeds. In Chinese medicine, but also
In other Eastern forms of therapy it is assumed that certain precious metals can have a positive influence on the flow of life energy Qi.

With the 20 ear seeds, 36 symptom cards and instructions for use, you have now put together a practical set for beginners and those interested. Who is this gentle method of self-treatment suitable for, and who should be cautious with it?

Tanja AM Parvin: In principle, anyone who wants to contribute to their well-being can use the Ear Seeds themselves and gain their own experience. Of course, self-application is no substitute for a therapist or therapy; if symptoms persist, you should always seek professional advice. However, the Ear Seeds offer the possibility of having something in hand that we can try anytime and anywhere.

The gold-plated beads not only look good, but are a real alternative to acupuncture with needles. What experiences have you had with the use of “Ear Seeds” in your practice ?

Tanja AM Parvin: The ear seeds stimulate certain points on the ear in a very gentle way. The great thing is that you can take them with you everywhere and they fit in any handbag. The positive experiences of my patients gave me the idea of making this type of application available to everyone. If we learn to be more sensitive to ourselves and our environment, we can recognize stress factors much earlier and counteract them in a targeted manner by paying attention to feeling what is good for us again.

In Africa, baobab was once used as a staple food and as a natural medicine, hence the name "pharmacist's tree". The fruit powder gives food and drinks a pleasantly fruity, exotic note - health has never tasted better.

The fruits of the baobab tree, which is also jokingly called the “upside-down tree” because of its bizarre appearance, are rich in minerals, vitamins, fiber and antioxidants as well as an optimal amino acid profile.

Baobab oil is extracted from the seeds and has long since penetrated Hollywood's celebrity circles as an insider tip for beautiful, youthful skin and healthy hair. It has an ideal fatty acid distribution and is highly stable.
