Healing with smoothies
Andrea Wichterich's power drinks from herbal medicine serve to maintain health and cure diseases
The nutritious mixed drinks made from medicinal plants contain the holistic power of nature and thus the full potential of phytotherapy: medicinal plant smoothies detoxify, provide valuable ingredients and restore communication with the plant world.
Green power for health and beauty
Enjoying these tasty green powerhouses has helped many women to be more vital and healthy, have clearer skin and radiance, improve digestion, enjoy life and much more. The recipes and instructions in the guide "Medicinal Plant Smoothies for Women" should not be seen as fixed guidelines that should be copied 1:1, but rather are intended to encourage you to playfully get in touch with the green world and create your own recipes.
"Many of our so-called illnesses are the result of the fact that we no longer take the time - or believe that we no longer have the time - to go out into nature. Many illnesses are based on the fact that we have cut ourselves off from nature - including our own - or at least believe that we have," says alternative practitioner and yoga therapist Andrea Wichterich. For her, real communication with the plant being and the realization of which healing powers are really needed requires pausing and conscious perception: "Nature usually gives us exactly what we need at the moment."
Communication with the primal feminine power
Many plants are exposed to adverse survival conditions from which they cannot escape. Therefore, some of them have accumulated a variety of protective, healing factors, especially when they are wild plants. Andrea Wichterich believes that the instinctive knowledge of which plant is good for a particular situation in life is hidden in people, although it is often covered up by rational thinking and many people believe they have lost access to it.
In her book, Andrea Wichterich would like to invite people to go out into the green world and to encounter the plant being with feminine, intuitive sensitivity, to engage in genuine communication. The medicinal herbs she describes are plants that remind us of the primal feminine power and encourage us to express it. Connecting with the herbs also means diving deep into the cyclical dance of the year: the coming into being, passing away and new becoming, which forms the basis of life. For example, in spring, nature gives us exactly the herbs that are needed to get rid of the waste and poisons of winter and to compensate for vitamin deficiencies, and in autumn it gives us the roots and fruits that also nourish us in winter.
Another factor that contributes to the quality and healing power of smoothies, according to the author, is the attitude during preparation. This does not mean always pretending to be in a good mood for yourself and those around you, but rather means being present, aware and mindful when dealing with food.
Green smoothies as food and medicine
Many people have stopped seeing themselves as part of nature and see nature as something alien, unbridled and dangerous. Instead of living in harmony with nature, they want to control nature in order to compensate for this fear. Often artificial, chemically produced substances and medicines are used to try to control the world of bacteria and pathogens. However, traditional and modern naturopathy assumes that the pathogen is not the cause of an illness, but a damaged environment. This can be due to an imbalance of acids and bases in the body.
The smoothies made from fresh medicinal plants contain many ingredients that support the organism and help to create an environment that is beneficial to health. By using the properties of the medicinal plants from A like horsetail to Z like lemon balm, the smoothie becomes a magical potion of detoxification and renewal.
