Quick cure with juices
Quick cure with juices
Anita Heßmann-Kosaris ' compact guide shows how to detoxify and purify in two days
If you only eat healthy juices for two days, you give your body the chance to get rid of toxins and waste products more quickly. The liquid food contains nutrients in such a concentrated form that the body can use them very well.
New strength for body and soul
Many people have problems maintaining their weight or often feel tired, worn out and listless. Sometimes the skin even looks pale and grey, the stomach is bloated and the cold stubbornly refuses to go away. In these cases, alternative practitioner and health author Anita Heßmann-Kosaris recommends a quick cure that rids the body of superfluous and harmful metabolic products that can be responsible for such complaints.
In her compact guide "Juice Fasting" she shows which fruit and vegetable juices are best for relieving the digestive organs in just two days, how to boost fat metabolism and strengthen the body's own defenses. The healthy mixtures not only taste delicious, they also provide the body with a concentrated load of easily absorbable vital and protective substances. There are also many practical tips for wellness exercises for every day and every season. Heßmann-Kosaris promises real detoxification success after such a weekend: "The pounds melt away, the tissue tightens, the skin becomes more elastic, the complexion fresher and the immune system stronger. An ideal program to quickly recharge your body and soul."
Relieve the metabolism
Fruit and vegetables consumed in liquid form provide the body with a perfect mix of bioactive substances and vital nutrients that help the organism to gently drain and detoxify. It is both pleasant and effective to detoxify and purify the body with fruit and vegetable juices for a weekend. The health benefits of certain juices can be used specifically, for example to restore the acid-base balance and strengthen the immune system. In contrast to classic fasting cures, there is no need to worry about a nagging feeling of hunger, as the valuable plant substances provide some calories and fiber.
The rapid weight loss at the beginning alone is an incentive for many to take a healthier approach to their diet afterward. "Such a clear detoxification and purification program is ideal for anyone whose daily work life leaves too little time to plan a longer break," says the author. It can also be managed independently by those who are not able to cope with the metabolic changes that come with a longer fasting regime. Another plus: anyone who is healthy and fit, i.e. not seriously ill, can really fast for a short period of time.
Simply detox
The fasting principle of this two-day juice cleanse is extremely simple: throughout the day, you drink around three quarters of a litre of fruit and vegetable juice, which you can squeeze yourself or buy - ideally natural, without sugar and without preservatives or colourings. You should also drink plenty of clear water so that you have enough liquid to flush the dissolved toxins out of your body. You don't eat any solid foods - unless you opt for the milder detoxification variant, which has proven successful in summer and winter. Small additions such as yoghurt, nuts or oatmeal are allowed in these weekend programs.
Two juice fasting days can be done several times a year at intervals of one to two months. "Choose a quiet weekend for this, free from stress, invitations and special appointments that could disrupt your internal cleansing program," advises the author. When it comes to short-term detoxification and purification, it is not so important that it happens frequently, but that it is a regular affair. This is the best way to stabilize the effect.
