“Design your own future – sustainably positive and exactly as you wish!”
Interview with qualified psychologist and personal trainer Kathrin Emely Springer
"If you want to achieve lasting changes, i.e. improvements in your life, you have to get your subconscious on board. Through simple mental exercises we can create the right inner images, reprogram our subconscious and tune it in a positive, targeted way. In this way we can recognize and realize our true wishes and goals, heal illnesses faster and better, and effortlessly attract professional and private success into our lives."
The successful personal trainer Kathrin Emely Springer, author of the success guide “The Key to the Subconscious” and the audio CD of the same name, is convinced that there is a hidden treasure slumbering within each of us that only needs to be activated and can sustainably steer our future in new, better directions.
At the same time as the paperback edition of your success guide “The Key to the Subconscious”, an audio CD of the same name is being released. Is this a supplement to the book or an independent project?
Kathrin Emely Springer: The audio CD is an independent project that has been close to my heart for a long time. So you don't have to have read the book to work successfully with the CD. Nevertheless, the mental exercises on the CD are of course a useful addition to the book; since what we hear appeals more to the emotional part of our brain, the audio CD can help us to implement the findings and goals of the paperback more easily.
What is the objective of the training program you have developed and what are the mental exercises best used for?
KE Springer: Everyone has different goals in life and very different obstacles or blockages to overcome. My CD contains exercises on a wide range of topics in life that are intended to help us to deal with problems more easily, achieve our goals more quickly and make our wishes come true.
In your opinion, the key is to first acknowledge existing problems, then reflect on them and finally change the negative behavioral patterns, beliefs and programs for the better once and for all. What is necessary to take these steps?
KE Springer: The most important prerequisites for sustainable "reprogramming" are, first of all, the will to face the problems and a certain amount of self-reflection. Anyone who consciously accepts this challenge can very quickly expect success and many positive things in life.
In order to achieve truly profound changes in life and shape the future, it is important to create new inner images. How can these be created?
KE Springer: Images always arise inside a person. Only the images we create and allow ourselves can come to pass. The mental exercises on my CD give precise instructions on how to create and allow these inner images to take effect.
The CD contains a variety of exercises that have been tried and tested in practice. These access the so-called alpha level of the subconscious and can be carried out either individually or in sequence. What does this mean and how is it implemented in practice?
KE Springer: The so-called alpha level is a state of consciousness in which we can communicate with our subconscious. It is a state of relaxation that allows us to make mental changes. We reach this state by closing our eyes in a quiet environment and completely relaxing and counting backwards from 10 to 1.
You use your method in your Stuttgart institute for leadership coaching, in HR strategy consulting, and in conflict management and crisis intervention programs. What experiences have you had with your clients?
KE Springer: My experiences with clients who have accepted my approach have been consistently positive. The changes that the clients are striving for have generally been implemented without any problems and the stated, realistic goals have been achieved.
Many efforts fail because the subconscious does not receive clear and precise messages. How should wishes for change be formulated and how long does it take until this is achieved?
KE Springer: There are a few important principles for this, but they are easy to follow. Affirmations for the subconscious must be formulated in the present tense and without negation. Short, clear sentences are easiest for the subconscious to understand. We should also be completely in agreement with what we want to suggest to ourselves, to "program" ourselves; we must be able to identify with it - so that we don't end up like Goethe's sorcerer's apprentice: "The spirits I summoned, I can't get rid of them." But with the help of my book and the exercises on the CD, you will quickly find out what you really want and what your true goals in life are.
