Interview with Balvinder Sidhu: “Everyone has the key to healthy, strong and beautiful hair in their hands!”

"Hair loss, hair that is too oily, too dry, too thin - such hair problems usually result from a combination of different factors, such as poor nutrition, hormonal changes, stress or psychological strain. But through targeted holistic measures, the balance can be restored on a physical, mental and emotional level and leads us step by step to healthy, beautiful hair." The successful Ayurveda therapist and hair expert Balvinder Sidhu , who published the audio guide "Get your hair back!" (also available as a download!), describes the Ayurvedic approach to hair problems in an interview and explains the reasons for the great success of her hair therapy.

For over 30 years, you have been successfully advising and supporting hair loss sufferers on their way back to holistic health and naturally beautiful hair at your Ayurveda Institute Kaya Veda®. What brought you on this path?

Balvinder Sidhu: Ayurveda was practically instilled in me from birth. My family has been rooted in the Indian healing tradition for generations. When I came to Germany at the age of 12, my family and I noticed that there were a lot of people here who were suffering from hair loss. At that moment, the idea and the deep desire to make the power of Ayurveda available to these people was born.

Hair loss can affect anyone, whether man, woman, boy or girl, whether young or old. What types of hair loss are there and what could be the causes?

Balvinder Sidhu: From an Ayurvedic perspective - and I can confirm this based on my many years of experience - there is generally not just ONE trigger for hair loss. Stress, poor nutrition, crash diets, pregnancy, hormonal changes, psychological stress - in most cases it is a combination of different factors on a physical, mental and spiritual level that leads to hair loss. A distinction is made between diffuse, circular, total, scarring, hereditary or hormonal hair loss. For our Ayurvedic approach, however, it is not important which form the person is suffering from. Our approach is suitable for everyone, regardless of which type of hair problem they are suffering from.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, hair problems always indicate that the balance of body, mind and soul is out of balance. How can this balance be restored?

Balvinder Sidhu: Balance can only be restored through interlocking measures on all levels. An important building block is holistic detoxification, which cleanses the body on all levels, and the subsequent phase of body building. The next step is to break established patterns, also on a physical, mental and emotional level. This includes eating habits as well as examining relationships, behavioral and thought patterns and attitudes. The road back to balance is often a long one, but it is definitely worth it.

Your new guide is available as audio coaching, which at first sounds very unusual for treating hair problems. What does that mean and how does it actually work?

Balvinder Sidhu: One of the most important Ayurvedic principles is that everything we need for health, happiness and success is already there - all we need is time and mindfulness. This implies that every person holds the key to their own health and happiness. This also applies to hair problems. With my CD, I want to give people affected by hair loss the tools they need to achieve their dream of "beautiful, healthy hair" on all levels. In addition to specific health and care tips, those affected learn in the actual coaching part of the CD how to use visualization and meditation exercises to anchor healing impulses in their subconscious so that their hair and their entire organism are sustainably regenerated and strengthened. Because there is immense power in our subconscious that we should use!

In Ayurveda, hair problems and other illnesses can only be solved holistically. The method you practice promises optimal care for hair and scalp from the inside and outside. What measures are involved and how can they be applied?

Balvinder Sidhu: At Kaya Veda, we work with the Ayurvedic three-pillar principle: on a physical level from the outside and inside, and on a mental level. First, we analyze the external symptoms of the affected person and draw up a plan for which (care) measures can be used to combat them. For those affected by hair loss, we work with natural cosmetic products specially developed by us with Ayurvedic herbs that include both the hair itself and the scalp as its breeding ground. In the second step, we examine where the individual physical weak points are. Poor nutrition, stress, overstimulation, an unhealthy lifestyle and much more can poison the body from the inside. Our goal is to cleanse and strengthen the body and break "old" patterns. Here, too, we rely on the power of Ayurvedic herbs, e.g. in the form of teas and nutritional supplements. Last but not least - and in many cases the most difficult for those affected - we turn to the mental level. Unresolved disputes, stress in private life or at work, relationships that are not good for those affected, and other imbalances in areas of life often lead to physical symptoms such as hair loss. In our consultations, we develop concrete solutions and methods in long discussions with those affected on how they can improve and change their living conditions in the long term - and we accompany them as a contact person on this path.

In addition to practical tips for hair health, the audio CD contains mental training sessions designed to support hair and its growth cycle. Do those affected need to have any knowledge or meet certain requirements?

Balvinder Sidhu: No previous knowledge or specific prerequisites are necessary. The CD guides listeners through the training step by step. Even if they have never dealt with visualization or meditation techniques before, they will be able to carry out the coaching wonderfully and use it for themselves.

With her audio guide, Balvinder Sidhu shows everyone with hair problems the way to healthy and strong hair. In Ayurveda, the head is considered the gateway to the soul, and beautiful hair is a symbol of holistic health into old age.

Visualization and meditation support the regeneration of the hair and the entire organism. Special healing impulses that have a positive effect on the subconscious also serve as a powerful instrument of autosuggestion.

A tip from the hair expert: Start a hair diary! In it you can write down healing impulses, successes, ideas and thoughts. And use photos of your hair to document the progress you have already made towards your desired goal.

Balvinder Sidhu, who was born in India, was born with a talent for healing with Ayurveda. Hair is her passion: at her Augsburg institute Kaya Veda®, she has achieved great success in treating hair problems.
