Foreword to the compact guide

There are many more interesting mushrooms around us than you might think. You probably know chanterelles, button mushrooms and porcini mushrooms and many delicious mushroom dishes. But would you have thought that mushrooms can also be used to prevent, treat and alleviate illnesses? And do you perhaps even know tree mushrooms that are inedible but have medicinal properties? If not, then I would like to open up a new world to you with this book.

There are many books about mushrooms. Some describe edible mushrooms from the forest, others medicinal mushrooms from the shops. This book does both in one and introduces you to 20 medicinal mushrooms from our forests that you can collect yourself. Many of them are also available in winter when nothing else grows. Like collecting herbs, mushroom hunting can be deeply satisfying, the forest itself is a "medicine", a filling station for the senses, for the soul, for mobility and the immune system.

Schätze zum Selbersammeln

Wow, ich fand Pilze schon immer lecker, wußte aber nicht das sie so viel können.
Dieser Kompakt-Ratgeber ist voll mit super verständlichen Informationen und Fotos auf denen man die Pilze richtig gut erkennt. Der Ratgeber ist ein Bestimmungs-, Koch- und Heilmittelbuch und man bekommt viele alltagspraktische Informationen. Gut finde ich das sich das Buch auf 20 heimische Pilzarten beschränkt. Diese werden dann aber so ausführlich vorgestellt (Auffinden, Sammeln, Eigenarten, Zubereitung,…) das wirklich keine Fragen offen bleiben.

Ein informatives Nachschlagewerk

Sehr informativ, ein handliches Nachschlagewerk mit interessanten Einblicken in die Anwendungsmöglichkeiten von Pilzen aus dem Überbegriff "Gaben der Natur".

Sehr passend zu unserem neuesten Unikat, dem "Naßwalder" - aus der Reihe "Symbiose aus Holz und Licht". Das außergewöhnliche ist, der zum Mittelpunkt erkorenen Baumpilz.

PILZE - wunderbare und gesunde Wegbegleiter

Früher, in meiner Kinderzeit, kamen Pilze v.a. als lustige Gesellen in Kinderbüchern vor. Als ich größer war, ging es in den Wald, an Bäche und in Parks zum Sammeln um abends lecker in Butter gebraten, wenig Salz, dafür mit vielen Kräutern zu frisch gebackenem Brot eine göttliche Mahlzeit verzehren zu können. Auch heute esse ich, anstatt Fleisch, viel lieber Pilze.
Das vorliegende Buch "Heimische Heil- und Vitalpilze" von Gerit Fischer - 20 Pilze für Küche und Hausapotheke, macht Lust auf mehr und neugierig, was man noch so alles, außer Leckereien aus Topf und Pfanne, mit Pilzen machen kann.
Der Pilz - Hüter des Lebens...?
Nach der Lektüre ein klares "Ja!"
Der in Holz, Streuschicht, im Boden etc lebende Pilz, nämlich das Mycel, lebt mit Pflanzen, Bäumen in Symbiose; d.h.: der eine kann nicht ohne den anderen vernünftig leben. Der Pilz spendet durch seine unterirdische Wuchsform u.a. Wasser und Stickstoff und erhält für seine "Dienste" von der Pflanze/Baum einen Teil der produzierten Fotosynthese, die zur Bildung des Fruchtkörpers (= das, was sichtbar wächst und uns zu Hochgenüssen führen kann) unerläßlich ist. -
Detailreich, in einem mitnehmenden Erzählton, bekommt der Leser umfangreiches Wissen über Pilze allgemein, wie im besonderen zu 20 Pilzsorten, A wie Austernseitling, J wie Judas-Ohr, Z wie Zunderschwamm, vermittelt.
Zahlreiche Bilder, Photos in den Umschlagseiten stellen die Bekanntschaft her, farbig unterlegte Info - Kästen verweisen auf Wichtiges.
Ganz besonders hervorzuheben ist der Teil "Pilze für die Hausapotheke" ab Seite 61 beginnend und der nachfolgende Buchteil ab Seite 74, der mit der Vielfältigkeit der vorgestellten Pilze (Küche, Heilmittel) vertraut macht.
Der handliche Ratgeber ist ein "wetterfestes nimm-mich-mit"-Buch, das für Neueinsteiger wie auch für Pilzprofis keine Fragen, Wünsche offen läßt.
Ich bin begeistert!
